All City Coffee

I am a little biased toward this place since I used to live above it and still live only a block away. This spot is what the industrial arts district of Georgetown rotates around. This place is one of the only coffee shops in Seattle that actually has a local community feel to it. Lots of light, ads for art studios, dogs and great art on the walls. This is one of my favorite spots in all of the city. It has changed over the 6+ years I have lived in the neighborhood. It used to be littered with gutterpunks pokies online free, georgetown debates and people playing guitars, but has made way for more of a tattooed graphic designer hangout. It has raised it’s prices over the years, but still remains a great place to grab a cup. The coffee is always good with a Vita Bean and a La Marzocco. What the barista’s lack in social skills, they make up with their espresso drinks. The owners know what they are doing and all work hard to constantly upgrade the atmosphere and equipment. A must stop if you find yourself in our little hole in the wall neighborhood.

This place caters solely to the business’s located around it. With two seats inside, if you can get one of them it is well worth the risk. A La Marzocco machine and a quality bean these guys make a great drink. Not only that, they also have quality lunches and a steady stream of friendly faces of people they know. If it was not for All City raising there prices, I would write these guys off, but a great alternative to have. They don’t have wireless internet to accommodate anyone who wants to work there, but they don’t need to. Noone is coming in to work. Great place to sit and have a conversation.

Vita has become the standard in Seattle. With multiple locations and many other shops using their beans, they are starting to be mentioned with the likes of Vivace’s in the espresso landscape. I see why. They have everything going for them. Ideal locations, clean/stylized shops and most importantly really good espresso. With every shop rocking a La Marzocco, this place appeals to everyone. Hipsters, goths and preps all frequent Vita shops and make it a diverse spot to hang. My favorite spot is right on Capital Hill and is also their roasting location. This shop is a non-stop people watching spot and even has an upstairs if you want to get some work done.

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Victoria. I have virtually been to them all also. They have a great La Marzoca and use Intellegencia coffee. They are not the friendliest staff and the ambiance is a little stale, but if you want a great cup on Vancouver Island, this is the best bet. They have very good pastries and outside seating, but parking is a bitch.

A colorful place in the heart of Pt. Angeles, sports a Caffe Vita bean and makes a decent cup of coffee. Compared to Seattle it might not hold it’s own, but compared to every other small town in the country, it rocks! Some decent art on the walls, a little kitschy for my taste, but a great place to hang. Food is ok and they have plenty of square footage to stretch out.
