A cool spot located next to a square in San Juan. A shotgun layout attached to a gift shop makes this a unique spot. A steady flux of tourists needing internet and fast speaking locals makes this a cool place to hang. Great art, nice people and decent snacks are the best part of this cafe. Unfortunately the coffee is not that good. Pretty flavorless, milky and hot. For good coffee there is a shop right down on the waterfront to check out. This is better for hanging out though.

This is a great cafe to visit in a town that’s biggest attraction is the State Fair. Cool art, friendly people and great food that offers a healthy assortment of vegetarian options. They use a Simonelli machine and even though it was not amazing, my coffee turned out to be pretty good and considering the town, that is about all you can expect.

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Victoria. I have virtually been to them all also. They have a great La Marzoca and use Intellegencia coffee. They are not the friendliest staff and the ambiance is a little stale, but if you want a great cup on Vancouver Island, this is the best bet. They have very good pastries and outside seating, but parking is a bitch.

A funky little place on the corner of the main drag. They don’t have the best coffee, but adequate and the atmosphere is pretty fun. Feels like a dark terrariam and has all sorts of nook and cranny’s you can hideout in. Not the greatest selection of food either, but a great place to study and hang out.

This is a chain in Spokane and has plenty of potential. The food is good, ambiance is better then most, but the coffee is so inconsistant. They have a decent La Marzoca machine, but I feel like there barista’s are not properly trained on pulling a decent shot. My coffee has ranged from pretty good to scorched and undrinkable. Certainly not the best spot in Spokane, but definatley the most hyped. If you are looking for a sandwich and to read, this is your spot.. Don’t expect good coffee.
