Very cool place in the heart of Lewiston. A nice space with lot’s of light, funky furniture, sound system for bands and some fascinating art on the wall. They have all sorts of pies and snacks for you to enjoy and some beer and wine options. Interesting to see that they use a Pavoni Machine and stay local with their beans (Landgrove Coffee from Troy Idaho.) Glad they did, because the coffee (aside from being a little hot) was very good. Good color and great flavor. Very happy and impressed with this shop and you will be too.

Crux Coffee

Crux flat out rocks it. I love this place. It has everything I want in a coffee shop. Great art, lots of space, a stage for shows, lot’s of light, beer, a pool table and above all else amazing coffee. They use a Stumptown bean on a La Marzocco. It seemed to be pretty empty. Maybe Boise has not caught on to the quality they have right in front of them. I just hope this place can survive. It is great. They have a special drink where you drop two shots of espresso into a porter beer. I did not have it, but apparently it is the tasty of the taste. A hipster flip. Well worth the stop when you are driving through Boise.

This coffee shop is very bittersweet for me. They have really great coffee with a great La Marzoca. They know how to make exactly what your tastebuds are looking for. It also is a real cool layout with hidden nooks in the back and a huge central table that can house 20 people. They have a huge bookshelf with lot’s of books that make it feel like an old English study. However, a lot of the books are religious and a few of my friends in the area told me that the owners of Bucers are very anti-gay, going as far as donating money to anti-gay movements and political parties. No quality of coffee is good enough to outcast humans and hurt anyone. I can’t support a place that does not support equality in people. So, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Upon walking in, I really liked the place. A open layout with great art. Although it seems very lifeless and the people who frequent are not as friendly as the competition across town. The coffee was pretty good, they roast their own beans and have a decent machine but certainly not as good as Java Time. However, there is more room, a cooler layout and if you are looking for a place to relax and get some work done, this is probably your best bet.

It has been great to see this place develop into a great coffee shop. When I started stopping in, the coffee quality was ok, but over the last 4 years they have stepped up their game. They got a La Marzocco and started training their barista’s to be a tour de Force. They even have this crazy concoction called a Bowl of Soul. Not sure exactly what it is, but it tastes delicious when it is in my mouth. Not only do they have great coffee, the food is also phenomenal. This place is an A+ in my book and the place where locals go to escape the yuppies.

This is a funky little coffee shop/caffe in what looks like an old Mexican Restaurant. It has a great vibe, with a cool layout and an awesome diner bar that you can sit at. They serve breakfast and sandwiches and the food is good for a coffee shop. The name is a little misleading because from what I gathered they don’t roast their own beans. I was expecting to see an actual roaster in the shop, but that was not the case. The coffee reflects that misleading vibe. They have cool names for all their specialty drinks like, “Ferg A Licious” and “Latin Lover,” however the coffee is not superb. I think it might be the best in Pocatello (which is not saying much.) I would choose this place to hang over the other spots and take my chances with a specialty drink.

Even though they had two very attractive women working, there coffee was very sub par. They use a Simonelli, and made my coffee way to hot. Cool, open layout, but not the best place to write and very chatty customers. I would say that as a hang this is not the best spot in town, and to stick with the drip.

I went there in my early 20’s and loved it, but when I returned in my late 20’s was very disappointed. Baron shop with lot’s of wasted space and the coffee was very sub-par. I am not sure this place is around anymore. Even though the space has so much potential and the owner is really cool you are probably better off going somewhere else.
