I thought Dish was gonna be great. It had all the makings for an unbelievable shop. Great location, lot’s of light, great layout, funky lazy boys to sit in, but the coffee was a big let down. They use Ideal Coffee from Toronto and make their espresso on an Elektra machine. The coffee was ok, but not worth the $4.75 I payed for my 8 oz latte. I actually thought I was paying for my buddy’s and my coffee together, but turns out I was just covering mine. They do have some good food and a decent flow of people coming in. I would say this place is best for lunch and maybe search out another spot for espresso.

This is a lunch cafe, espresso bar and art gallery right in the heart of downtown Salt Ste Marie. The food was very good, the art was very sub-par and the coffee was ok. They use an Evolution machine, which I have never heard of, but they told me three times it was Italian. I am not sure whey that makes a difference, but with the amount of Online Pokies emphasis they put on the fact that it was “Italian” I guess I was expecting the espresso to be majestical. It was not. The best I found in town, but a little above mediocre. Cool place to hang and the owner is very sweet. Just beware that this place is very quant and will win your heart over if you hang for more then an hour.
