Calypso’s Coffee

Upon walking in, I really liked the place. A open layout with great art. Although it seems very lifeless and the people who frequent are not as friendly as the competition across town. The coffee was pretty good, they roast their own beans and have a decent machine but certainly not as good as Java Time. However, there is more room, a cooler layout and if you are looking for a place to relax and get some work done, this is probably your best bet.

Review -

It has been great to see this place develop into a great coffee shop. When I started stopping in, the coffee quality was ok, but over the last 4 years they have stepped up their game. They got a La Marzocco and started training their barista’s to be a tour de Force. They even have this crazy concoction called a Bowl of Soul. Not sure exactly what it is, but it tastes delicious when it is in my mouth. Not only do they have great coffee, the food is also phenomenal. This place is an A+ in my book and the place where locals go to escape the yuppies.
