Even though they had two very attractive women working, there coffee was very sub par. They use a Simonelli, and made my coffee way to hot. Cool, open layout, but not the best place to write and very chatty customers. I would say that as a hang this is not the best spot in town, and to stick with the drip.

I went there in my early 20’s and loved it, but when I returned in my late 20’s was very disappointed. Baron shop with lot’s of wasted space and the coffee was very sub-par. I am not sure this place is around anymore. Even though the space has so much potential and the owner is really cool you are probably better off going somewhere else.

This place is great. Reminds me of a European cafe with lots of interesting people, cool staff and beer. The coffee was pretty good and probably one of the better cups in Buffalo. They are open late, and seem to be a great spot to visit. I love this place! It is a little overpriced, but they have a pretty decent food selection and some fun outside seating to people watch.

This is the spot. There are a few of them around the area, but I like the one in Saratoga Springs the most. An interesting mix of well dressed people and hipsters, but the coffee did not disappoint. They roast right there on site and delivered a good cup every time. I was skeptical about the Synesso, but was very happy with the final outcome. It is a huge space with a steady stream of people coming and going. I would recommend sitting out in the European style seating out front and people watch. Even though they seemed to focus more on their food then their coffee, it was very good quality.

There are a few of these around Rochester and I hear the all have a great atmosphere. The one I was at had really cool art hung all over the place and is very spacious. It has a stage with lighting for the numerous shows they put on. Overall this is a fantastic place to hang. The food is great and this is a solid place to grab lunch or meet a friend. Although that is what it’s best at. The coffee was burned and very mediocre. Cool place to hang, but try and find somewhere else to get decent coffee.

I was looking for a different coffee shop and stumbled upon this place. Very minimal design with tall ceilings an a warehouse feel to it. Phenomenal light due to half the building being windows. Reminded me a lot of something that belongs in Portland with the heavily tattooed barista and Broken Bells blaring on the speakers. Not a whole lot of people, but very good coffee. I was shocked that they could pull such good shots out of the Simonelli. I had never heard of the Ritual roaster the use, but they make a great cup of coffee.

I was really excited when I stumbled upon this place. It is in a huge warehouse space and seemed like it had so much promise. The food was very good, but the coffee left a little something to be desired. I always think that coffee roasters should make the best coffee, but I find that is not always the case. Although it was good, it did not meet my expectations. They did not offer a 8 oz size, no macchiato and there Simonelli machine looked a little beat up. I love drinking coffee at the exact place it was roasted and in that sense it was great.

A cool little shop with an alternative/anarchist feel to it. Don’t be alarmed though, this place has something for everyone. Since it is located in a residential neighborhood the ambience is fantastic! Bringing in blue collars and hipsters, It has both a social atmosphere and a good vibe to get some work done. Although it has a little to much of a social vibe going on. As I was drawing in my notebook a 8 year old kid kept trying to talk to me. I engaged him for a minute, but after a while wondered where his adult was. I asked him, and he told me his mom was outside smoking. She stayed out there for 45 minutes while her kid ran havoc inside. Step it up bad parent! At any rate, great art, good kitsch and a very friendly staff. The had trouble with my 8 oz double shot latte and made a 12 oz instead. Even though they had a hard time, the shots they pulled were solid. The Simonelli machine they use is very nice, and they have an array of baked goods that would make your mouth water.

Cool space with upstairs seating looking down over the roasting area. Very european outside seating and seemed to be a very popular hang out for the locals. A great place to go to work and study. The baked goods are tasty, but the coffee left me wanting more. They had two machines a La Marzocco and a Simonelli, and they made my drink on the Simonelli. It is better then most coffee, but expect a little more out of a roaster.
